McDonald’s party shooter pleads guilty

Lorenzo Walker, the man who brought his son’s birthday party to an end in a hail of bullets at McDonald’s, had a pre-sentence hearing Tuesday.
District Attorney Michael Jackson said that on June 12, 2004 at Walker and Latoya Powell &045;
his girlfriend’s sister &045;
began arguing while at the party. Walker went out to his car, returned with a gun began shooting at Powell &045;striking her twice.
One bullet hit her in the neck and the other hit her in the upper torso.
As the injured victim attempted to run back into the restaurant, Walker continued to shoot at her, and in the process, shattering some of the restaurant’s windows and damaging two cars.
Judge Marvin Wiggins listened as Walker pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied building.
Walker
will remain in jail until his trial.
