Selma police are searching for the suspects who burglarized CARQUEST Auto Parts on Hickory Road over the weekend.
The unknown suspects entered the store sometime between midnight on Saturday and early Monday morning, according to police reports.
The suspects apparently entered the store through the back of the building and clipped the wires to the alarm system, said a company representative.
The suspects managed to take more than $1,300 worth of products and tools, along with change from bubble gum machines.
Some of the items taken during the burglary included 24 packs of Triple A batteries, a TV/VCR combo, a battery charger, a 20-ton jack, assorted tools, a tire hammer and floor mat set.
Lt. David Evans, Selma police spokesperson, said the burglary is currently under investigation.
Few other details have been released about the incident as police continue in their search of the suspects.
A company spokesperson said this was the second time CARQUEST has been burglarized. The first occurred many years ago.
Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact the Selma Police Department at 874-6611.
