More Stewart wins
Jackson Henderson hit a double, and Caleb Harris had a pair of singles to lead Moore Stewart Ford over Exchange Club 15-12 on May 13 in 7&8 year old action. For Exchange Club, J.D. Stiles hit a triple, and Aderick Moore had a hit in the losing effort.
Eyemax 21, Coffee Printing 6
Jhalandius Sullivan and Kanil Goodwin had doubles to lead Eyemax over Coffee Printing 21-6 on May 18. For Coffee Printing, George Dower and Brian Crum had singles.
9- and 10- Year Old
El Rancheros 14, Elks Lodge 3
El Rancheros used 12 hits to beat Elks Lodge 14-3 on May 18. Ricky Smith, Eddie Thigpen, Harrison Watters, and Colby Britcher had two hits and two RBI each. Conner Stephens, Andrew Swindle, Quashun Thigpen, and Jamie Bender had one hit each. Swindle had three RBI in the win. For Elks Lodge, Darrius Hawkins, Jabari Moore, Alexander Burton, and Jadiran Minnefield had hits in the losing effort. Burton had two RBI.
11- and 12- Year Old
George’s Paint & Body 10, A.G. Edwards 5
George’s Paint & Body used nine hits to beat A.G. Edwards 10-5 Thursday, May 12 at the Sportsplex. Joel Yarbrough had two hits followed by Cobb Bostick, Jabaris Hardy, Jody Glover, Nathan Irwin, Jarvis Brown, Chraig King, and Hain Beers with one hit each. Yarbrough was the winning pitcher. For A.G. Edwards Timothy Thomas had two hits while Joseph White, DeVarious Bender, Robin Smyly, and Juston Moreland had one hit each. Jabril Hayes took the loss on the mound.
Mr. Roy’s 3, Swift Drug 2
Chris Smith had one run and Anferenee Simpson had a homerun to help lead Mr. Roy’s to a 3-2 victory on May 12. Trevious Moore was the winning pitcher. Derrick Walker and Hunter Helms had one run each for Swift Drug. Paul Kirk Jones took the loss on the mound.
Selma Times Journal 7, Bush Hog 6
Shavarious Holeman hit two out of the park home runs on May 12 to help lead Selma Times Journal to their win. Sherrone Lindsey, Rashad Ellis, J’vante Furlow, Torrance Pounds, and Austin Jordan all had one run each for Selma Times Journal. Lindsey was the winning pitcher. For Bush Hog, Hunter Veach had two runs, and Andrew Persinger, Brenton Sanders, Logan Campbell, and Brian McDonald had one run. Veach took the loss on the mound.
A.G. Edwards 13, Steve Lane’s 3
A.G. Edwards beat Steve Lane’s 13-3 on May 17. In the first inning for A.G. Edwards DaVarious Bender walked and scored on a triple by Jibrial Hayes. Hayes scored on a single by Juston Moreland. Moreland also came around to score. In the second inning Jervon Turner walked and scored. In the third inning Timothy Thomas walked and scored on a single by Juston Moreland. Moreland came around to score. In the fourth inning Demarious Walker and DaVarious Bender both scored on a double by Jibrial Hayes. Hayes came around to score on a wild throw. Timothy Thomas, Juston Moreland, KizArron ShaHon and Robin Smyly all walked and scored on wild throws on the catcher. In the second inning for Steve Lane’s Tyler Love walked and scored on a double by Taylor Lane. Lane came around to score. In the fourth inning Tyler Love reached on a error and came around to score.
Moore Stewart 17, Selma Cash & Carry 1
Moore Stewart Ford used twelve hits to beat Selma Cash & Carry 17-1 Tuesday, May 17 at the Sportsplex. Connor Thorpe led Moore Stewart with three hits and six RBI’s. He was followed by Joseph Watters, Craig Price, and Marquel Melton with two hits each. Parker Hughes, Reed Stewart, and Adam King had one hit each. Watters picked up the win on the mound. For Selma Cash & Carry Crawford Traylor and MacCain Levins had one hit each. Traylor was the losing pitcher.
13- and 14- Year Old
Family Medicine 7, Pepsi 2
Marvin Hollman struck out nine and gave up one run on four hits to lead Family Medicine over Pepsi 7-2 on May 6. Thomas Austin was four for four at the plate with a triple, a double, and an RBI. Jonoathon Hurt had two hits, including a double. Justin Ravizee had two hits and an RBI, and Hollman had two hits and two RBI. For Pepsi, Trey Daniels took the loss on the mound. Josh Wyatt had a triple and an RBI, and Laquinton Gunn had two hits.
Talton 6, Pepsi 3
Kevin Smart had two hits and two RBI to lead Talton over Pepsi 6-3 on May 9. LaDarius Neely picked up the win on the mound. For Pepsi, Josh Wyatt had two hits, including a double and an RBI. Darius Hyatt was the losing pitcher.
