Gordon Smitherman

Mr. Gordon H. (Sonny) Smitherman, Jr. age 77, passed away Friday, May 6, 2005 in a Montgomery Hospital.

Graveside Services are scheduled for Monday, May 9, 2005 in Pineview Memory Gardens at 2:00 P. M. with

Chaplin Danny Rieben, officiating. Selma Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife Gail Smitherman,

and one son, Mark (Betty) Smitherman of Eufaula, AL., and

one granddaughter , Christy Smitherman.

He is also survived by one sister, Jo D. Lange of Denver, Colorado and one brother, Joe Smitherman of Lawley, AL.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Nell Phillips. Mr. Smithermn was a member of the American Legion. He received the Korean SV Medal, the National Defense SV Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 9, 2005 from 1:00 to 2:00 at the Selma Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the VA and/or DAV.

Walter J. Myles, of Montgomery County, died May 6, 2005. Funeral services and survivors will be announced by Bell Funeral Home.
