Miriam Maxey Stallens

Miriam Maxey Stallens, age 57, a resident of Birmingham, Alabama, died March 15, 2005 in Birmingham, Alabama. Services are scheduled for March 22, 2005 at 12 p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Reverend Gregory Clarke will be officiating, and burial will occur in New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, Alabama at 3 p.m.

She is survived by one son, Dr. John (Erika) Stallens, two brothers, Melvin (Edwena) Miller and Randall (Betty) Miller, one grandchild, two nephews, and three nieces.

Eliza Parker

Ms. Eliza Parker, age 87, a resident of Demopolis, Alabama, and a native of Linden, Alabama, passed March 15, 2005 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church in Gallion, Alabama.

Reverend Kelvin Robertson will officiate.

Interment will following in the adjoining cemetery.

Family hour will be held Monday, March 21 from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama are entrusted with the arrangements.

Melvin Hodges

Reverend Melvin Hodges, age 63, of Boligee, Alabama, passed March 19, 2005 at his home.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama.

John Richard Williams

John Richard Williams, age 65, of Selma died Saturday March 19, 2005 in a Birmingham hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 23, 2005 in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Mike Wyatt.

Mr. Williams is survived by his children, Robert Williams of Montgomery, Richard (Jenny) Williams of Jacksonville, FL, and Mark (Trish) Williams of Selma; grandchildren, Allen, Stephen, Matthew, and Stephanie Williams and Trent Jordan; one grandchild, Nathan Mathis; sisters, Barbara (Tom) Ingram and Norma Boyd, both of Sylacauga; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Williams, Matthew Williams, Trent Jordan, Joshua Roberson, Tommy Ingram and Byron Saffold. The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
