Clint Moore, of Selma, was stabbed to death Saturday afternoon at his home.
Moore, a 43-year-old resident, lived at 205 Pettus Street.
Police reports show he was attacked at his home at about 4:50 p.m..
“There was an altercation, according to a witness,” Lt. David Evans, Selma Police Public information officer.
Police couldn’t give a motive for the fight as of presstime.
Moore was transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center, were he was treated for multiple stab wounds. He later died as a result of them, police say.
About two hours after the stabbing was reported, at 7:30 p.m., Henry Butler Jr. was arrested and charged with murdering Moore.
“Originally he was charged with assault I and it was subsequently upgraded to murder,” Evans said.
Police reports show he was arrested at his home where a knife was recovered.
Butler was drinking at the time of his arrest, but he didn’t resist, according to police.
Butler is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail. No bond has been assigned in his case.
Evans said his bond would be determined later.
“He will appear in front of a judge in a few days,” Evans said.a
