With Wilcox Central leading 62-61, Southside center Jeffery Anderson appeared on his way to a lay-up that would have put the Panthers on top with 21 seconds to go.

But Coleman doused that idea when he leaped in front of Anderson and swatted the ball from his hands.

Coleman picked up the loose ball and was immediately fouled, as was Wilcox forward Allen Crumpton.

Coleman sank both of his free throws to give the Jaguars a 64-61 lead. Crumpton also made his two foul shots to ice the victory.

The game was a see-saw affair much of the way, with the teams trading the lead throughout.

Wilcox Central held a 41-39 lead until Deonta Williams drilled a three-pointer from the right corner to give the Panthers a 42-41 advantage with 2:06 left in the third period.

Southside took its largest lead of the second half when Williams grabbed an offensive rebound and hit the putback to give the Panthers a 49-44 lead.

Anthomy Price sank two free throws to cut the Southside lead to 52-50 early in the fourth quarter. The Jaguars tied the game at 56 when Coleman hit one of his four dunks in the game, then sank 1-of-2 from the foul line.

Allen Crumpton sank two foul shots to give the Jaguars the lead for good, 60-59 with 1:44 remaining.

Neither coach from either team was available for commect after the game.
