If the Evangel Christian Academy Lady Lions had forgotten just how good the Meadowview Christian Lady Trojans were, Haley McIntyre helped them remember.

McIntyre poured in 25 points and grabbed 17 rebounds Tuesday night and the Lady Trojans routed Evangel, 70-33.

Meadowview Christian improved to 12-5 overall and 3-0 in the area.

McIntyre drew man-to-man coverage early on, but her two steals and strong ball control on MCS fast breaks nullified the relaxed coverage.

Joni Lawrence followed McIntyre with 13 points. Carol Ann McIntyre chipped in 11 points and six rebounds. Elyse McIntyre pulled down six rebounds and dished out six assists for the Lady Trojans.

Trojans shot 64 percent from the free-throw line sinking 7-of-11 attempts.

In girls’ junior varsity play, Meadowview Christian beat Evangel Christian came away with a 28-16 win.

Carol Ann McIntyre was the high scorer with 18 points for the Lady Trojans. Deavan Altman accounted for the remaining 10 points.
