Sarah Louella Stevenson

Sarah Louella Stevenson, 90, of Selma, formerly of Macon, Ga., died Tuesday, December 21, 2004.

Services are a 11 a.m. Monday, December 27, in the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Visitation is Sunday

Burial will be in Macon, Ga. at Macon Memorial Park on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Franklin Etheridge officiating and Mr. Carl Dixon will give the eulogy.

Mrs. Stevenson is survived by two sons, Wilbur T. Stevenson and Robin (Ruth) Stevenson, M.D. of Selma; Seleter Mars of Hamilton, Marcus Eford and Jerry Stevenson, both of Georgia, Richard (Pamela) Stevenson of Norman, Okla., Julian (Patricia) Stevenson of Swainsboro, Ga., and Lena (Richard) Van Voorhis of Alabaster; eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Wilbur T. Stevenson, one son, Jerry O. Stevenson, parents, W. B. and Bessie Peacock, brothers Willie B. (Melba) Peacock, Preston (Lucille) Peacock, Austin Peacock, and one sister, Evelyn P. Freeman.

Mrs. Stevenson was a charter member of the Wheeler Heights Baptist Church. She was a long time Sunday School teacher and loyal choir member.

She worked for the Bibb Manufacturing Co. for 35 years. The family will be at the Holiday Inn Express, Byron at I-75 prior to the burial.

Minnie L. Houser Johnson

Minnie L. Houser Johnson, 80, of Dallas County, died Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at her home.

Services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, December 27, at Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Booker T. Booker officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include two daughters, Armelia McGee of Newark, N.J., Lisha (Everette) Houser-Smith of Selma; one brother, Hinton (Eva Lee) Johnson Sr. of Birmingham; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one son-in-law; 10 sisters in-law; 15 nephews; 14 nephews; godson, Ernest (Shirley) Barnes of Selma; special friends, Vera Perry, Nancy Cole, Leroy Page, Elizabeth Smith, Marva Eaton and Ida Boykin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Helen Johnson.

Active pallbearers are Percy Tripp, Charles Matthews Jr., Willie Austin, Curtis Thomas, Cornelius Johnson and Calvin Brantley.

Honorary pallbearers are nephews and cousins.
