Elsie Hope E. Waller

Elsie Hope E. Waller, 101, died Wednesday, November 24, at her home.

Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Friday, November 26, at New Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Sandy Simmons officiating and Lawrence Funeral home directing.

Her husband, Henery L. Waller preceded her in death.

Survivors include two step-daughters, Loren (George) Tanner of Gainsville, Fla. and Anna Lee (Jack) Crumpton of Raleigh, N.C.; three nieces, Marion D. (Bruce) Peak of Selma, Rught D. (Carl) Jones of Birmingham, and Jean Dillon of Montgomery.

Mrs. Waller was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Selma. She was a retired school principal, a published author, and an artist. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Selma or the charity of your choice.

Mattie Bell Browder

Mattie Bell Browder, 91, of Dallas County, died Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Warren Manor Nursing Home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29 at Shiloh Potter Station with the Rev. Dan Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Craig Hill Cemetery with the Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include sons, Jesse (Helen) Browder, Richard (Deborah) Browder, Willie Browder, Monroe Browder, and Eddie Browder; two daughters, Della (Clemmie) Barber, Rudy Albert; sister, Georgia A. Sanders; 41 grandchildren, 102 great-grandchildren, a host of son-in-laws; three daughter-in-laws, and one brother-in-law.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.

There will be a wake from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 28.
