Ann Judson Watters Rives

Ann Judson Watters Rives, 91, Clemson, S.C. formerly of Selma, died Monday, November 22, 2004, at healthcare center in Clemson.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 27, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Clemson. Burial will be held on Monday, November 29, at 11 a.m. at Old Live Oak Cemetery in Selma with Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons, assisting the family with arrangements.

Survivors include her daughters, Ann Rives Everett and her husband, Jack, of Savannah, Ga., Lucia Rives Lockridge and her husband, Robert, of Memphis, Tenn., and Beulah Rives Wilson and her husband, John, of Clemson; and her brother, John Furniss Watters and his wife, Jean, of Bellevue, Neb.; 10 grandchildren, William Rives Hestir of Seneca, Mary Kay Hestir Taylor of Birmingham, Ala., Donald Benjamin Hestir of Piedmont, Craig Strickland Robinson of Collierville, Tenn., James Christopher Strickland of Denver, Colo., Caroline Cheney Bottom of Richmond, Va., Robert Walton Cheney of Nashville, Tenn., Elinor Cheney Halpin of Coppell, Texas, Andrew Robert Wilson of Falls Church, Va., and Timothy John Wilson of Wilmington, N.C.; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hugh Rives; two brothers, James William Watters and Rinaldo Mixon Watters, Jr.; and two sisters, Louise Watters Paisley and Lila Watters Porter.

Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 193 Greenville Highway, Clemson, SC 29631.

The family is at 213 Strawberry Lane, Clemson, SC 29631.

Mrs. Rives, was a native of Selma, the daughter of the late Rinaldo Mixon and Beulah Judson McCullough Watters.

She was a retired legal secretary. She was a graduate of Selma Business College and a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Clemson. For many years, she was a volunteer at St. Paul’s Thrift Shop in Pendleton.

Louie Smith Alexander

Louie Smith Alexander, 73, of Suttle died Tuesday November 23, 2004 at home.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday November 26, at Pine Flat Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Michael Brooks and directed by Lawrence Funeral Home.

Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Marilyn McKenzie Alexander of Suttle, son, Neil Alexander and his wife Christina of Selma, daughters, Ivy Alexander of Brentwood, TN and Lori Deavers and her husband Robert of Selma, three grandchildren, Ryan Deavers, Paul Alexander, and Clayton Alexander.
