Claudia Pearl Little

Claudia Pearl Little, 92, of Selma, died Sunday, October 24, 2004, at a local nursing home.

Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, at New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Kenny Hatcher, the Rev. Sonny Edwards and the Rev. Neil Caver officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include son, Joe C. (Kay) Little of Selma; daughters, Georgia L. (Billy) Bobo and Ethel M. (Terry) Bixler of Selma; grandchildren, Kim Bullard, Mark Bobo, Joe Little Jr. and Elizabeth Rabb; great-grandchildren, Jessica Bullard, Dalton Bobo, Nolan Bobo, Lara Little, Anna Little, Paige Rabb, Karli Rabb and Max Rabb.

Active pallbearers are Mark Bobo, Joe Little jr., Dalton Bobo, Melvin Summerlin Jr., Terry Bixler and Douglas Coat.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Kenneth Sanders

Kenneth “K.C.” Sanders, 58, of Demopolis, died Saturday, October 23, 2004, at a Demopolis hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, at Eastern Star Baptist Church in Demopolis, with the Rev. Terry Gosa officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Demopolis with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.

The body will lie in state at the church beginning at 12 noon.

Charles C. Jones

Charles C. Jones, 79, of Plantersville, died Monday, October, 25, 2004, at a Selma hospital.

Services are at 12 noon Saturday, October 30, at Elyton Baptist Church with the Rev. J. R. Curry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Pearlie Jones; six sons, Robert of Cleveland, Ohio, Charles, Edward, James, Christopher and Lindsey all of Plantersville; seven daughters, Ruby Fisher of Cleveland, Ohio, Barbara, Quinnin, Gladystine, Glenda, Shelia all of Plantersville and Oria of Mississippi; four brothers, Charlie, Clifton Jones of Des Moines, Iowa, Williard, Willie, SB, and Johnny of Vinegar Bend; three sisters, Elizabeth Jackson of Mobile, Lillie and Pearl Jones of Vinegar Bend; and loving friends, Lewis and Patricia Furlow.

Matisha Green

Matisha Green, 84, of Marion, died Thursday, October 21, 2004.

Services are at 12 noon Thursday, October 28, at Berean Baptist Church with the Rev. C. Dwight Woods officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing,

Survivors include her husband, Abron Green; sons, Paul Edward Simpson Jr. and Llwellyn Simpson; daughters, Clara Jean Tarrant Savage and Della Mae Simpson Maynor; sisters, Alonzoa Tarrant and Arline Tarrant Pope; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews; and seven stepchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Riley Simpson, brother, Nathan Shepard, sisters, Irene Shepard Telfair and Mary Alice Shepard Green.

Active pallbearers are nephews.

Ulric Strickland

Ulric “Red” Strickland, 79, of Andalusia, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at his home.

Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 28, at New Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Holcomb officiating and Foreman-Brown Cemetery directing.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Ruth Strickland of Huntsville and Jeanne and Phillip Morgan of Andalausia; grandchildren, Chip Morgan, Macey Morgan an Gill Morgan and his sister, Mary Wilkerson of Hogansville, Ga.

Active pallbearers are Benjie Kinsaul, Gene Baisden, Claude Summerlin, Kenny Lee and John Wallace.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
