Fannie Lee Thomas

Fannie Lee Thomas, of Orrville, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at a Birmingham hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 16, at Rising Star P.B. Church in Orrville, with the Rev. Eugene Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Charles Thomas of Orrville; one son, Walter Lee Jones of Selma; six daughters, Delia Stubbs of Detroit, Mich., Willie Mae (Walter) Young and Minnie (Henry) Fuller all of Selma, Janette (Alvin) Murray, Vicky Jones and Patricia Bowie all of Orrville; step-daughter, Brenda Thomas of Selma; four sisters, Annie Lee Young and Easter Mae (Lemual) Bates of Cleveland, Ohio, Artelia Cunningham of Chicago, Ill., and Rebecca Turner of Marion Jct.; three brothers, James (Rose) Jones of Selma, Phillip (Earnestine) Jones of Chicago, Ill., and George (Dreamer) Jones of Detroit, Mich.; mother-in-law, Minnie Gamble; sister-in-law, Annie Mae Turner; one daughter-in-law, Vera Jones; five god-children, Rev. Johnny Sanders, James Sanders, Betty Sanders, Marvin and Corey Hatcher; 25 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are grandchildren.

Flowerbearers are ushers and friends.

Repast will follow the burial at the church in the Fellowship Hall.

Mts. Thomas was born on August 10, 1941 to the late Louida Jones and the late Robert Allen. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church and in later years joined Rising Star P.B. Church, where she served faithfully until her health begin to fail.

Lucy Reese

Lucy Reese, 82, of Selma, died Sunday, October 10, 2004.

Services are at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 at Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Gregory Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Survivors include hers son, David Bennett; daughter, Emma Bennett; sister, Mary E. Marshall; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren,

Active pallbearers will be family and friends.

Janie Rodgers

Janie Rodgers, 88, of Selma, died Saturday, October 9, 2004.

Services are at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15. at Summer Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. A. L. Allen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Summer Grove Cemetery with Walker Mortuary directing.

Survivors include four sons, Cunnie (Catherine), W.C. (Elnore Janice), Blan (Joann), and Walter (Joyce) Rodgers, three daughters, Pearlie (Willie) Bonner, Janie (Norman) Grant, and Kathleen Watts; brother, John Dupree; three sisters, Lucy Wooten, Cora Dean Square, Susie Rowser.

Active pallbearers will be the deacons.

Gail Raby-Hildreth

Gail Raby-Hildreth, 39, of Tuscaloosa, formerly of Linden, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 as a result of injuries from an automobile accident.

Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at Friendship Baptist Church in Linden with the Rev. Samuel Richardson officiating.

Burial will follow in Cage Chapel Cemetery in Hugo with Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors directing. Public viewing will be held Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Larkin and Scott Funeral Home Chapel.

Lonnie L. Minor, Jr.

Lonnie L. Minor, Jr., 20, of Faunsdale died Saturday, October 9, 2004 as a result of injuries from a automobile accident.

Services are at 11 a.m. Oct. 16 at the Amelia Love Johnson Gymnasium in Thomaston with the Rev. Mitchell Congress officiating.

Burial will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery in Faunsdale with Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis direction.

Public viewing will be held Friday from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nathan Clinton Johnson

Nathan Clinton Johnson, 53, of Demopolis, died Friday, October 8, 2004 at his residence.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Edmond Charleston officiating.

Burial will follow in Scott Memorial Cemetery in Jefferson with Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors directing.

Public viewing will be held Friday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
