Harold Heard

Harold Heard, 73, of Marion, died Monday, September 13, 2004, at her

home.

Mary Starkey

Mary Starkey, 80, of Marion, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at a Marion nursing home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Lee &

Rollins Funeral Home.

Sylvester Reese

Sylvester Reese, 62, of Marietta, Ga., died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at a Georgia hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Selma, with the Rev. Joshua Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Hollman-Reese; mother, Callie Reese; mother-in-law, Ada L. Hollman; three sons, Brandon, Bryan and Chris; four brothers, James, Pete, Bobby and Alphonso; six sisters, Melanie Johnson, Arnsey McBride, Betty Reese, Thelma Reese, Mattie Jones and Geraldine Porter;11 brothers-in-law; 12 sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Active pallbearers are Andrew Callens, David Guthridge, Dempsey Porter, Marvin Hollman and Reggie Moore.

Honorary pallbearers are James, Pete, Alphonso, and Bobby Reese, Douglas Hollman and Michael Hollman.

Mr. Reese was a graduate of R.B. Hudson High School and a veteran of the United Army. He was employed with Lockhead Air Craft in Los Angeles, Calif., for several years. After relocating to Marietta, Ga., he was employed with the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
