Mary Lee Wright

Mary Lee Wright, 80, of Selma, died Aug. 31, 2004, at 1534 Franklin Street.

Services are scheduled for Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Wright. Burial will follow in Pine View Cemetery directed by Walker Mortuary.

Wright is survived by two daughters, Juanita W. Ellis and Ernestine W. Perkins; a sister, Ruth Moore; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one son-in-law; a daughter-in-law; and a sister-in-law.

She is preceeded in death by her husband, Ernest Wright Jr., and a brother, Wilse Reese.

As a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church she worked faithfully with Ebenezer Missionary and was one of the Founding Pillars off the Chapel of Hope Ministry.

Pallbearers will be the Selma High Football Team.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Rhonda Lynn Meeks

Rhonda Lynn Meeks, 46, of Selma, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, at her home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Selma Funeral Home.

Aline Pierson Barnes

Aline Pierson Barnes, 86, Prattville, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at a local health care facility.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m., from Pine View Cemetery, with Dr. Travis Coleman officiating and Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry Holland, Prattville; four grandchildren, Terri (Matt) Palco, Birmingham; Donna Roberts; Prattville; Joel Barnes, Darlington, S.C.; and Noel Barnes of Birmingham.

Mrs. Barnes was a member of the First Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
