Elinor Louise Mozingo Cooper
Elinor Louise Mozingo Cooper, 88, of Selma, died on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2004 at 2 p.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Joe White officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include daughter, Shannon Cooper; two nieces and two nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one’s favorite charity.
Mrs. Cooper was a long time employee of Craig Airforce Base.

Frederick Glover, 58, of Selma, died on Wednesday, July 7, 2004.

Burney Parker of Georgia died on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 in Georgia.
Services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Church in Tyler with Miller Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Ethel Bell
Ethel Bell of Sardis, AL, died on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at her residence.

Robert M. McLaughlin, Sr.
Robert M. McLaughlin, Sr., of Selma, died on Wednesday, July 7, 2004.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2004 at 3 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Hank Spencer officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, 2004 from 2-3 p.m at the Selma Funeral Home.
Survivors include wife, Louise McLaughlin; two sons, Robert (Bobby) McLaughlin, Jr. and Scott (Scotty) Randall McLaughlin; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Hubbard, Lewis Troha, Bobby Clemmons, Edward Troha, Russell Hull and Kenneth Hull.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge #926.

Frederick D. Glover, Jr.
Frederick D. Glover, Jr., 58, of Selma, died on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at his home.
Services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2004 at 12 noon at Greater St. Paul Missionary with Pastor J.C. Summers officiating and Miller Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Pineview Gardens.
Survivors include wife, Pearlie Moorer Glover; parents, Louise G. Colby, two sons, Frederick D. Glover III, Rodney Nelson; four daughters, Frederica Williams, Prentiss Coleman, Iris Robinson, Kimberly Glover; six grandchildren; three son-in-laws; four brother-in-laws; eight sister-in-laws; a host of relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews and little Creek Huntry Club.
Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of GSPMB.

Nathaniel Lewis, Sr., 74, of Hayneville, AL died on Sunday, July 4, 2004.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Willie D. Lewis officiating and Bell Funeral Home directing.
Burial will follow in Mt. Sinai Cemetery.
Otis Moss
Otis Moss, 40, of Hayneville, AL, died on Friday, July 2, 2004 at a Montgomery hospital.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 12 noon at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church #2 with Rev. Larry G. Townsend officiating and Bell Funeral Home directing.
The body will lie-in-state at the church one hour prior to service.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Thelma J. Moss; seven children; a loving mother, Loretta Moss; thirteen brothers and sisters; one grandfather, Rev. Roger W. Moss; sixteen brothers and sister-in-laws; six aunts; five uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Maggie Hatcher
Maggie Hatcher, of Ohio, formerly of Selma, died on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 in Ohio.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Gaines Chapel in Sardis, AL. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Sardis, AL.
Survivors include sons, Bernard Hatcher, Lee Roy Hatcher, Alphonso Hatcher, Ralph Hatcher, Nathaniel Hatcher; daughters, Yvonne Winfield, Janice Miller, Betty Harris, Barbara Powell and Mary Palmer; sister, Etta Carter; thirty-five grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren.
Master Mauriel Juwan “Jeh” Malone
Master Mauriel Juwan “Jeh” Malone, of Selma, died on Friday, July 2, 2004 at a UAB hospital.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 11 a.m. at New Bride Baptist Church with Rev. W.J. Brown officiating and Miller Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in New Bride Cemetery.
Survivors include parents, Lisa Malone and Maurice Rentz; god-parents, Roshella (Earnest) Thomas of Selma; great-grandmother, Gertrude Geanes of Walnut, MS; grandmother, Iola Malone; grandfather, James E. Addams of Walnut, MS; two sisters, T’Lyssa Malone, Dashauri Rentz; eleven great aunts; seven great uncles; three aunts, Valerie James of Florida, Trenda Rowe of Selma; Celia Malone of Montgomery and host of other relatives.
Pallbearers will be uncles and cousins.
Henry Odis Watters
Henry Odis Watters, 83, of Selma, died on Sunday, July 4, 2004 at his residence.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2004 in New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Sonny Edwards and Rev. Larry Stover officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Mr. Watters was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Gillis Watters; son, Richard Lynn Piper.
Survivors include children, Shirley Baggett, Clarence “Toota” (Harriet) Piper, Raymond “Bubba” Piper all of Selma, Henry “Tubby” (Ruby) Piper of Wilmer; daughter-in-law, Jackie Piper of Florida; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Louis E. Watters of Selma; sisters, Dera M. Fitts, Rubye Nell Durden of Selma, Mary E. Godwin of Biloxi, MS; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to one’s favorite charity.
He was much beloved by his family and friends.

Clinton Allen Underwood Weeks, 10, of Arab, died July 4, 2004 at his home.
Services will be held on Friday, July 9,2004 at 2 p.m. in Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Maddox officiating andLarence Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ray (Bo) Underwood of Selma.
Survivors include his mother, Melissa Weeks Allen of Selma and Step-Father, Ron Allen of Arab; brothers, Daycel Weeks and Paul Underwood; step-brothers, Jonathan Allen and Rodney Allen; step-sisters, Christa Allen, Lisa Allen Blossom, and Haley Neely; grandmother, Annie Underwood; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
