Thomas Pruitt Jr.
Thomas Pruitt Jr., 88, of Thomasville, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at a health care facility.
Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the Chapel of O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Craddock officiating. Burial will follow in Choctaw Corner Cemetery with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include daughter, Judith Knight; son-in-law, Ted Knight both of Birmingham; son, James Thomas Pruitt, daughter-in-law, Lallage H. Pruitt both of Orrville; half-brother, Billy Pruitt of Florida; half sister, Louise Patterson of Marietta, Ga.; granddaughter, Lisa Carol Robinson of Dothan; grandson, Jeffrey Ted Knight of Birmingham, Thomas Keith Knight, Michael Todd Pruitt and Kevin Wade Pruitt of Atlanta, Ga.; great-granddaughters, Rachel M. Knight, Elizabeth A. Robinson, Emily C. Knight and Laura Catherine Knight; great-grandsons, Christopher T. Robinson, Jeffrey H. Robinson, Chase Cameron Pruitt, Jacob Thomas Knight and Landon Jeffrey Knight.
Ella M. Curtis
Ella M. Curtis, 87, of Selma, died Monday, July 12, 2004, at a local hospital.
Services are at 1 p.m. Friday, July 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Washington officiating. Burial will follow at Sandridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her husband, John Curtis; one daughter, Monica Givan of Selma; two sons, William (Barbara) Bryant of Virginia and Jimmy (Janice) Davis of Tuscaloosa; two sisters, Ruby (Leroy) Schultz of Radtliff, Ky., and Mamie McDole of Camden; three grandchildren, Randall, Danyall and Monique Givan of Selma.
Mrs. Curtis was a Lutheran, and worked at A&M Laundry.

Mary Maxine Lewis Crowder, 87, of Selma, died Tuesday, July 14, 2004.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday, July 16, at the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with her nephew, the Rev. Franklin Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her son, Phillip Lamar Crowder Jr. of Selma; daughter, Margaret (Beth) Crowder of Centerville, Ga.; brothers, Oliver Lewis and Larry C. Lewis both of Selma; sisters, Violet Hatfield of Selma, Eleanor Faye Ivie of Tuscaloosa and Charlene Atkinson of Newnan, Ga.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Phillip Lamar Crowder Sr., and brothers, Ted C. Lewis and Daniel M. Lewis.
Active pallbearers are Mike Lewis, Scott Lewis, Robert Lewis, Jason Lewis, William Goodman and Ricky Mitchell.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crowder was a member of West Highland Methodist Church.
