Lee Coleman

Lee Coleman, 67, of Cleveland, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 21, 2004.

Services are at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 21, at Bougahoma Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Green officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery with Bell Funeral Home directing.

Fannie Moorer

Fannie Moorer, 74, died Friday, March 12, 2004.

Services were held at 12 noon Saturday,

March 20, at

Zion Chapel AME Zion Church with

the Rev. Anthony R. Thames officiating. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery with Bell Funeral Home directing.

John Steiner

John Steiner, 47, of Ft. Deposit, died Saturday, March 13, 2004.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Ft. Deposit Municipal Complex with Elder Fletcher Fountain officiating. Burial followed in Ft. Deposit Cemetery with Bell Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Doris W. Steiner; his parents Lee Earnest and Minnie Steiner; four children, Nikki Taylor, Dontae Brown, Patrick McMeans and Lashanda Moore; two step-children, Jamar Taylor and Kimberly Brothers; two devoted sisters, Matilda (Robert) Hartley and Carlissa (Mickey) Gray; four brothers, Michael Shephard, Christopher (Jeanette) Cooke, Leonard Cooke and Henry Simmon; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lorene Harris

Lorene Harris, 74, of Knoxville, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at a Tuscaloosa hospital.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at St. John Baptist Church in Clinton. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Henderson Funeral Home directing.

Alvis Frith

Alvis &8220;Boots&8221; Frith, 83, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, at Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Hatcher officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing..

Survivors include one son, Alvis B. (Charolette) Frith Jr. of Selma; one daughter, Sherry Maluda of Selma; two brothers, Paul Frith of Selma and Roy Frith of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister, Velma Wimberly Young of Selma; five grandchildren, Darren (Gaylor) Frith, Crystal Nichols, Dianne (Mike) Brannon, Gail (Edgar) Calloway and Gary (Angela) Maluda; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ellis Frith.

Active pallbearers were Darren Frith, Gary Maluda, Edgar Calloway, Mike Brannon, John Clibrey and Andrew Frith.

Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Northside Baptist Church..

Mr. Frith served in he U.S. Army in World War II, 9th Army Division as Combat Rifleman, Infantry (44-46), during the invasion of Europe. Citations include two Bronze stars and combat Infantry Badge. He also served as a lifelong deacon of Northside Baptist Church.

Donald Gene Heckert

Donald Gene Heckert, 54, died Saturday, March 20, 2004.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 21, 2004, at 3 p.m. at Braggs Cemetery in Braggs. The Rev. Russell Morrow and Rev. Hank Spencer will officiate.

Mr. Heckert is survived by his mother, Flora Heckert of Selma; son, Jerry (Jill) Heckert of Nashville, Tenn.; brother, Jerry (Lisa) Heckert, Texas and three grandchildren.

Selma Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
