Meadowview sweeps Marengo

Micah Lolley improved to 7-2 on the season as Meadowview traveled to Marengo and took an impressive 19-5 win Monday.

The game started out tight as Meadowview led,t 4-3 in the first inning.

The game stayed close and after four innings the Lady Trojans led 9-5.

They scored 10 runs in the sixth inning

Lolley went 3-for-5 with two singles and a double. She scored two runs. Kasey Burton and Haley McIntyre both went 3-for-5 with three singles. Burton had two runs scored and McIntyre had three. Haley Johnston went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Elyse and Carol Ann McIntyre each went 1-for-3 and scored two runs.

For Marengo, E. Harris went 1-for-4 and E. Wiggins went 1-for-3 with two runs scored.

Rowe lifts Meadowview past Marengo in baseball play.

The Meadowview boys won 11-10 and beat a good marengo team. Chris Sewell ,who picked up the win on the mound, went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer.

Murray Keasler went 3-for-5 with three singles. Tyler Wendall went 4-for-5 with two singles and two doubles. Ryan King had a pair of singles as did Aaron Raines. Spence Rowe hit the game-winning double in the top of the ninth to give the Trojans the win.
