In what coach Bill Porter Jr. called their most complete effort of the season, Dallas County dispatched Bibb County at home Saturday night, 82-72.

The win gave the Hornets the area tournament title and the right to host the Demopolis/Livingston loser next Friday night at 7 p.m.

Antonio Perry led the Hornet’s charge with 18 points, six rebounds, six assists and 10 deflections.

Tournament MVP Rafel Miller had 17 points and all-tournament team member

Patrick Jackson had 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Vincient Moore made the all-tournament team with 12 points. Eric Ross had nine points and Daron Waters had eight.

Bibb County’s Adam Smith had 27.

The winner of Friday night’s contest goes on to play in the regionals in Mobile.

The win and the general success of Black Belt teams in the postseason is a result of the tough schedule each team plays, according to Porter.
