Keith senior Jimmie Richardson seems to be a man of few words, but on Thursday morning in the school’s library, the linebacker let his smile do most of the talking.

With his high school coach, principle and some family on hand, Richardson signed to play Alabama A&M.

Richardson, a phenomenal athlete who stars on the Bears; basketball team, had offers to play college hoops as well. But, he turned them down.

Richardson choice of Alabama A&M was influenced in part by his cousin, William Thomas, who plays for the school.

The facilities also impressed the youngster from Orrville.

Crum says the Hornet got a bargain.

Crum said Richardson missed some camps with a stint in the National Guard over the summer that cost some of the bigger schools a chance to recruit him. But the youngster will get a chance to shine for the Hornets.

Richardson plans to move in with his aunt in Birmingham over the summer so he can attend the school’s summer workout program.
