Hazel Louise Pigg Herrod

Hazel Louise Pigg Herrod, 69, of Selma, died Jan. 24, 2004, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, in the Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Guy Anderson and the Rev. Al Finch. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, William Earl Herrod, Selma; two daughters, Bridget (Brian) Wheaton, Puebla, Mexico, Demisha (Bubba) Stough, Selma; three sons, Steve (Alice) Herrod, Marietta, Ga., Larry (Retha) Herrod, Selma, Pat (Celeste) Herrod, Plantersville; other relatives, Ruth Pigg, Evelyn Andrews, Eva Holloway; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be members of the Hilliard Rush Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday,

Jan. 26.

Sadie Anderson Hill, 81, of Selma, died Jan. 23, 2004, at a local nursing home.

Arrangements will be announced later by J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home.

Willie Thomas Smitherman

Willie Thomas Smitherman, 68, of Selma, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, in New Live Oak Cemetery.
