Anne Elaine Carter Williams

Anne Elaine Carter Williams, 69, of Uniontown, died Jan. 13, 2004, at her residence.

Services were held Jan. 17, at 3 p.m., in the Kirk Funeral Homes Chapel, officiated by Ronald Palmer. Interment was held at Pine Crest Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include four sons, Walter Williams Jr., San Antonio, Texas; William &8220;Bill&8221; Williams, Marion; James R. &8220;Willie&8221; Williams, Uniontown; Donald &8220;Donnie&8221; Williams, Madison; three daughters, Mary Susan Leger, Niceville, Fla.; Carol Lynn Laney, Elba; Anne Marie Brody, Bahrain; four brothers, Karl Carter, Delane, Fla.; James Carter, Amarillo, Texas; Richard Carter, Summerville, S.C.; William Carter, Matthews, N.C.; one sister, Shirley Carter Koon, Bolivia, N.C.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Walt Williams Jr., Scott Leger, Paul Williams, Brandon Williams, Jerome Williams and Donnie Williams.

Lillian Viola Prescott Wyatt

Lillian Viola Prescott Wyatt, 83, died Jan. 16, 2004, at her home.

Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 17. Graveside services were held at New Live Oak Cemetery, Jan. 17, with the Rev. Thomas Fancher and Father Marc Vincent officiating.

She is survived by one son, Jimmy Wilson (Sharon) Wyatt, Selma; one daughter, Charmion Wyatt (Tommy) Brown, Selma; one brother, Frank Prescott, Selma; one sister, Beatrice Prescott Troha, Selma; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Wilson Wyatt; brothers and sisters, Vivan Prescott, Sidney Prescot, Gray Prescott, Tom Prescott and Leatrice Prescott Moseley.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to WireGrass Hospice or the Summerville Baptist Church Ladies Ministry and the Gideons.

Selma Funeral Home handled all arrangements.

William C. Thomas

William C. Thomas, 77, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004.

Selma Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Thomas, Selma; two sons, Ken Thomas and Johnny Thomas, both of Orange Beach; one stepson, William E. (Georgia) Kirkland, Lakeland, Fla.; one sister, Ruth C. (Nathan) Watkins, Livingston; and one grandson.

Mr. Thomas was a veteran of World War II and very active at VFW Post 3016.
