Trailing by just 3 going into the half,

the Dallas County Lady Hornets come out with fire in their eyes.

Led by Tiffany Eaton, who scored 5-straight points, the Lady Hornets roared into the lead.

But then the Lady Bulldogs of Montevallo woke up.

The Bulldogs outscored Dallas County 17-3 the rest of the quarter and went on to take the win, 60-44.

Velencia King led the Lady Hornets with another solid outing.

She scored 20 points, 14 in the first half alone.

Eaton added 12 points and was a force inside for the Hornets.

Tiffany Harvell added 7 Hornet points and Takara Stewart had 3.

Tiffany Walker added 2 points.

For Montevallo, Ashley Ebrahimi led with 20 points.

Samantha Spradlin added 10 and Kinyatta Hayes had 14 points in the winning effort.

Led by Harvell, King and Eaton, the Lady Hornets came out smoking.

They outscored the Lady Bulldogs, 17-12 in the first quarter.

But Dallas County couldn’t keep up the pace.

They scored 11 in the second quarter to Montevallo’s 19.

The Hornets managed 8 points in each of the final quarters.
