Coach Rick Blevins’ Morgan Lady Senators took a pair of weekend wins and won the Patrician Basketball Tournament Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, they beat Mobile 36-33.

Leading the way, Katie Taylor had 12 points and 4 rebounds. Ginger Gaines scored 10 and grabbed 3 boards.

Elizabeth Elliot had 10 points, 13 boards and 2 blocks.

Candace Ward and Claire Wilkinson had 2 points each.

Laura Whitney Bennett

played some good defense for the Senators.

While Cursey Oaks and Caroline Woodruff came off the bench and played well.

They kept rolling on Saturday with a 52-45 win over Patrician.

Elliot had 18 points and 22 boards.

Gaines had 15 points, 6 steals and 3 assists.

Taylor scored 10 points and had 5 boards.

Candace Ward finished with 7 points and 6 boards.

Claire Wilkins had 2 points and Laura Whitney Bennett had 8 rebounds,

Woodruff and Elizabeth Waters played well off the bench,

Elliot was named to the all tourney

team for the 8-1 Senators. Gaines was named MVP.
