Hosting the Bryant Scott Memorial Tournament on Monday and Tuesday of this week, gave the run-and-gun Central Christian Academy Warriors a home court advantage.
Led by Bud Smith and the still recuperating Tee Woods, the Warriors defended that home court and took the tournament title, 49-47 over Shelby Academy Tuesday night.
Smith led the charge with 23 points, nearly half of the Warriors’ total.
Woods, who is not 100 percent as he recovers from a football injury, finished with an astounding 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Woods was named MVP of the tournament.
Smith was named to the All-Tournament team as well.
Woods scored 15 points against West Alabama Prep the night before in the opening round of the tournament.
CCA beat WAP 59-42 in the first round.
The Warriors and Lady Warriors will be on the road Saturday at Cornerstone.
