Bonnie Pridgen

Bonnie H. Pridgen, 84, of Montgomery, died Sunday, November 16, 2003, at her home.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, at Harvest Temple Church of God with the Rev. Bobby Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Leak-Memory Chapel directing.

Survivors include, daughter, Entis P. (Donald) Till of Prattville; three sons, Wilbur E. (Jeanette) Pridgen, Woody Pridgen of Prattville and James Pridgen of Montgomery; brother, Claude Hughes of Montgomery; seven grandchildren, Donnie (Rhonda) Till, Joan (Leslie) Hunter, David (Carol) Till, Kim (Freddie) Pickett, Jennifer (Thomas) Sauceman, John Pridgena nd Ginger Pridgen; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Woodrow N. Pridgen.

Active pallbearers are Donnie Till, David Till, Brocks Till, Bryan Morris,. Tyrone Hughes and Jerome Byrd.

Honorary pallbearers are Jon Pridgen, Thomas Sauceman, Matt Hunter, Kevin Hunter, Alan Till, Jason Craik, Lyman Woodfin and Farrrel Carlisle.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Muriel Newman Lewis

Muriel Newman Lewis, 85, of Marietta, Ga., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at her home.

Services were at 11 a.m. Monday at Old Live Oak Cemetery with Seymour Cohn

officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her son, Russell K. Lewis and wife Debra Pauley Lewis of Cummings, Ga..; Jean Lewis of Marietta, the widow of her son Randy N. Lewis; two granddaughters, Kelly Lewis and Jennifer Lewis; a grandson, David Lewis; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marjorie Pasternack of Long Island, N.Y.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society of Cobb County, Ga., on behalf of her son Randy, or to a favorite charity.

Mrs. Lewis was a longtime resident of Selma, moving here with her husband, the late Art Lewis, who owned and operated Bayuk Cigar Co., among other business enterprises. She was involved in civic and social activities in Selma, including the Council of Jewish Women and as a volunteer with Central Alabama Rehabilitation Facility. She was a member of Pandora social club.

Travel was her favorite hobby, especially to remote and exotic areas such as the Galapogas Islands. She was a great reader and a supporter of the Selma Public Library She considered Selma her home, and requested to be returned here at her death.

Peter Fulford

Peter Fulford, 79, of Selma, died Thursday, November 13, 2003 at a local hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. F.D. Reese officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with J.H. Williams and sons funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one son, Donald White of Selma; one daughter, Glenda (Dexter) Parks of Bamberg, Germany; one brother, Ezekiel (Ora Dell) Fulford of Selma; one sister, Azile Williams of Selma; devoted niece, Dave (Quincia) Fulford Jr. of Selma; devoted niece, Willie M. Pettway of Selma; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nephews; nieces; other relatives; and special friend, Mable Furlow of Selma.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, two sisters and four brothers.

Mr. Fulford was born in Burnsville, to the late Henry and Ida Mae Hatcher Fulford. He received an education at Lilly Grove School. He confessed Christ and joined Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he remained faithful until death.

LaTonya D. Turner

LaTonya D. Turner, 25, of Selma, died Saturday, November 15, 2003, at a local hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home.

William Robert Bragg

William Robert Bragg, 65, died Sunday, November 16, 2003.

Graveside services are at 1:30 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Camden with Minister Johnny Ross officiating and Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife Ann Bragg of Camden; daughter, Bobbie Carol Lard (Mike) of Tuscaloosa; stepsons, Craig Gaston (Shanna) of Birmingham and Cliff Gaston (Fran) of Camden.

He was preceded in death by his stepson, Bruce Gaston and his wife Sherri.

Family visitation will be from 11 am. to 12 noon, at Camden Church of Christ.

Jacqueline Johnson Gethers

Jacqueline Johnson Gethers, of Boston, Mass., formerly of Uniontown, died Friday, November 14, 2003, in Boston.
