Leads sought in club shooting

A shooting that left three people injured at an Alabama Avenue nightclub has been selected as the Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.
Frankie Surles, 29, of Sardis was shot outside the Platinum Club at 1211 Alabama Ave. shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday.
According to police reports, Surles said he had just left the club and was in a parking lot at the corner of Alabama Avenue and Washington Street when he heard shots. He then ran toward the club and was shot in the back.
The second victim, a female, told police she was inside the club when she was hit in her left shoulder.
Police reports state that the third victim was outside the club on the sidewalk when he was hit in his left thigh.
All three victims were taken to Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Callers will be given a code name. They do not have to identify themselves or testify. If the information provided leads to an arrest, callers will receive a cash reward of from $25 to $1,000.
Rewards are usually made within a matter of days. A conviction is not necessary to collect a reward, only an arrest or the recovery of stolen property.
