Anita Newman Williams

Anita Newman Williams, 74, of Selma, died Saturday, October 4, 2003, at a local hospital.

Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, at the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Calloway officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her loving companion Olen Davis of Selma; two sons, Ronald (Pat) Williams of Leeds and Wyatt (Vicky) Williams of Huntsville; one daughter, Bonita (Robert) Harper of Rome, Ga.; one brother, Kenneth Newman of Carrollton, Ga.; one sister, Onie Baxter of Carrollton, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Ryan Williams and Ramsey Williams both of Huntsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Judson Williams.

Active pallbearers are Sam Hillman, Ramsey Knight, Charlie Spence, Bert Fondren, J. N. Baxter and Perry Reynolds.

James Leroy Luckie

James Leroy Luckie, 85, of Lowndesboro, died Saturday, October 4, 2003, at a Montgomery hospital.

Services are at 10 a.m. Friday, October 10, at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvin Strickland and Dr. Bill Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Cumie

Luckie; a son, Lannie O. Luckie; daughters, Peggy O. McClellan, Judy C. Berberich and Rebecca A. Myrick; brothers, Jack Luckie and Ed Luckie; sisters, Lucille Vickery and Mrs. Emmit Waller; 18 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Luckie, mother, Adele Luckie, a son, Robert Luckie and a daughter, Betty Thornell.

Active pall bearers are grandsons.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Geneva Smart Thomas

Geneva Smart Thomas, 57, of Selma, died Wednesday Oct. 1, 2003, at her home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 11, at Shady Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. M.E. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Julia L. White Funeral Home directing.

Sheila Dianne Todd

Sheila Dianne Todd, of Camden, died Sunday, October 5, 2003.

Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Camden Church of Christ with Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a son, Johnny Luker of Duncanville; grandson, Jonathan Chase Luker of Tuscaloosa; brothers, David Sessions and Darryl Session both of Camden; and nieces and nepehws.

She was preceded in death by her son, Darryl Jackson Todd, and her brother, Donnie Lock Wood Sessions.
