Fresh from football practice and taking a short break from game week preparation, Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville took time out of his busy schedule to make a guest appearance at the Selma Quarterback Club Tuesday night at the Convention Center.

Tuberville’s plane was briefly delayed but the coach landed in time to talk about his team, tell a few stories and field some questions from the crowd.

Tuberville talked about preseason expectations, saying he was relieved when ESPN’s Trev Alberts picked the Tigers as the nation’s most over-rated team.

For the most part, Auburn is picked as a favorite to win the SEC and a contender for the national title.

It’s pressure and attention the Tuberville says he welcomes.

The Quarterback Club is still accepting memberships with nine more speakers to come.

On September 2, Alabama Athletic Director Mal Moore will be the speaker.
