Cloverleafs’ make last stand

The Cloverleafs are back!
Well, for three games anyway.
Because of scheduling conflicts the former Selma Cloverleafs will host the Montgomery Wings Thursday and again in a double-header on Saturday.
The team was taken over by the Southeastern League of Professional Baseball earlier in the month and changed to a traveling team.
They will play the majority of their games on the road.
The team’s then-management group decided that Selma just did not have the population-base to support the team.
Ticket prices will be $5 per adult and $3 for youths 12 and under.
All Selma Dixie Youth Softball and Baseball players who wear their 2003 team jersey will get in free.
Gates will open at 5 p.m. for the Thursday night game that starts at 6:30 p.m.
The Saturday double-header will start at 4 p.m.
Some of the Cloverleafs players from last year will be on the traveling team while three former Cloverleafs will be playing for the Wings.
