The Concordia College Hornets blew out Oakwood College Tuesday night at home 103-81. The win extends Concordias home winning streak to seven games.
The only lead that that Oakwood managed was in the first minute of the game, after that point it was all Hornets. The Hornets led by as much as 14 points in the first half, and they only allowed Oakwood to get within six points of them at any given time. The Hornets outside shhoting, and explosivnes to the basket left Oakwood shaking their heads.
The Hornets were led in scoring by Michael Tucker and Earnest Foster. Foster and Tucker each managed to put up 22 points in the game. Josh Denning also had a big night for the Hornets putting up 18 points.
The Hornets next game will be Tonight in Little Rock Arkansas against Philander Smith College at 5 p.m.
Concordia 51, Oakwood 38
The Concordia Lady Hornets came out on top of Oakwood College Tuesday night at home 51-38. The Lady Hornets were hot from outside, and that was the key factor in their success. In the first half the Lady Hornets hit six three point shots alone.
The game got off to a very slow start staying at 3-0 Concordia for the first 6:00 minutes of the game. Late in the first half the action started to heat up, and at the half the Lady Hornets had a 24-12 lead.
Tamika Smiley and Patricia Smith led the Lady Hornets with eight points each.
The Lady Hornets will play next at Philander Smith College in Little Rock Arkansas.
