The Selma High Varsity Boys improved there standings to 12-9, 5-2 in the area, when the defeated the Prattville Lions, Tuesday night.

Scoring for the Saints was taken care of by Brandon Davis, who had 18 points and 4 rebounds, Jai Miller with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, and Miguel Harris with 11 points and 2 rebounds.

The Lions were led by Jerrod Anderson with 22 points, Stephano Tyus with 10 points and Travis McCall with 9 points.

Meadowview 77, Kingwood 32

The Meadowview Christian Trojan steam rolled Kingwood on Tuesday night 77-32. With the win the Trojans improve their record to 9-9 on the year.

The Trojans led from the opening tip, and were never in danger of losing at all. At the end of the first period the Trojans led 17-6, and at the end of the first half the Trojans led by a score of 40-9. By the end of the third quarter the score was 59-13, and the Trojans coasted in the fourth to win the game 77-32.

John Robert Morton had another big night for the Trojans scoring 20 points, and pulling in 12 rebounds. Robert Blackmon picked up 18 points and 16 rebounds for the Trojans. Ryan Stephens had 13 points and five assist, and Derrick Lassiter finished the night with 10 points.

MMI 57, Central Christian 41

The MMI Tigers won their 12th straight game Tuesday night knocking off the Central Christian Warriors 57-41 in Selma. The Tigers are undefeated in the area, and 12-1 overall.

The Tigers were led by Aderic Reed with 19 points in the win. Douglas Fitz-Gerald finished the night with 14, and Javoris Smith had 11 on the night.

Desty Everhart finished the night with 16 for the Warriors, and Chris K. Poe had 10 points on the evening.

Meadowview 52, Lowndes Academy 42

The Meadowview Christian Trojans had another big night knocking off Lowndes Academy 52-42 on Monday night.

The Trojans trailed by one point at the end of the first period, but that was as close s the Rebels would get all night. By the halfway point the Trojans had jumped out to a 10 point lead, and at the end of the third period they led 32-24.

The Trojans got another big night out of John Robert Morton who picked up 30 points and 18 rebounds. Robert Blackmon came up big on the defensive side of the ball grabbing 18 big rebounds and scoring two points. Ryan Stephens also played a big roll in the victory scoring seven points and having six assist.

Francis Marion 70, Bibb County 63

The Francis Marion rams outlasted Bibb County on Saturday night pulling off the double overtime win 70-63.

At the end of regulation the score was knotted at 59-59, and at the end of the first overtime period the score was 63-63. In the second overtime the Rams held Bibb County scoreless to take the big win.

The Rams were led by Jimmy Arrington with 24 points, five rebounds, and five assist on the night. Andrew Lee contributed nine points, five rebounds, and four assist. Julius Allgood had 11 big rebounds for the Rams, and he also put up eight points on the night. Jonathan Turner came off the bench for the Rams when the starting five got in foul trouble and had a big night putting up eight points, and grabbing nine rebounds.

Keith 110, Maubury 38

The Keith High Bears destroyed Maubury on Monday night winning though game by 72 points, 110-38. With the big win the Bears got a chance to play the bench, and get better prepared for the stretch run of the season.

The Bears were led by Jimmy Richardson with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and six steals. Prince Murray finished the night with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and five steals, and David Gragg had 15 points and five rebounds on the night. Cedrick

Jones had 14 points, 10 assist, and 13 steals. Charles Jones finished the night with 13 points and four assist.

MMI 45, CCA 25

The MMI Lady Tigers knocked off the Central Christian Lady Warriors Tuesday night on the road. With the win the Lady Tigers improve their record to 7-6 overall.

The Lady Tigers were led by Felecia Sprott with 21 points and 20 rebounds. Yolanda Kelly finished the night for the Trojans with 10 points, and Precious Enzamana had 10 points and 16 rebounds.

Natalie Roberts led the Lady Warriors with nine points.

Selma High

68, Prattville 35

The Lady Saints defeated the Lady Lions on Tuesday night in the Selma High gym.

Lead scorers for the Saints were Kimberly Wilson with 20 points,

Keeyona Smiley with 10 points and five rebounds, and Santana Seay with 10 points.

Lead scorers for the Lions were Eve Pickett with 11 points, Octavia Hemingway with 8 points, and Sharina Davis with 5 points.

Kingwood 45, Meadowview 43

The Meadowview Christian Lady Trojans eight game winning streak was snapped Tuesday night by Kingwood Christian 45-43. With the loss the Lady Trojans fall to 12-7 overall, and 2-1 in the area.

The Lady Trojans were led by Hailey McIntyre with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Jamie Lawrence picked up 7 on the night, and Elise McIntyre finished the night with six points. Sheena Steward had six points on the night, and Danielle Welch and Ashton Smith both finished with four points each.

Hannah Phillips led Kingwood with 28 points.

Wilcox Central 46,

J.F. Shields 41

The Wilcox Central Lady Jaguars took on the J.F. Shields Lady Panthers this past Friday night, and they managed to improve their record to 16-3 on the year.

The Lady Jags led 10-8 at the end of the first period, and at the half way mark they had managed to stretch the lead to 20-13. By the beginng of the fourth period the Lady Jaguars had pulled out to a 46-34 lead, and despite a late run by the Lady Panthers the Jaguars held on to win the game 46-41.

The Lady Jaguars were led by Ashley Welch who put up 17 points on the night, and pulled down 14 rebounds. Angela Oats also had an outstanding night for the Lady Jaguars putting up eight points, and grabbing six rebounds.

Wilcox Central 53, Clarke County 46

The Wilcox Central Lady Jaguars notched another win on their belt knocking off the Clarke County Lady Bulldogs Saturday night 53-46.

Even though the game was close the Lady Jaguars led the whole way. At the end of the first period the Lady Jaguars held a slim four point lead at 13-9, and at the halfway mark the lead was down to three points at 23-20. In the fourth quarter the Lady Jaguars outscored the Lady Bulldogs 14-10, and they went eight out of 10 from the free throw line to preserve a 53-46 victory.

The Lady Jaguars were led by Evelyn McConoco with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Welch also came through with a big night putting up 11 points, 18 rebounds, and three blocked shots for the Lady Jaguars. Kimberly Benjamin finished the night with 12 points and five assist.

Meadowview 37, Lowndes Academy 36

The Meadowview Christian Lady Trojans improved their record to 12-6 on the year, and 2-0 in area play Monday night knocking off the Lowndes Academy Lady Rebels 37-36.

Leading the way for the Lady Trojans was Hailey McIntyre with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 blocked shots. Elise McIntyre also had a big night for the Trojans picking up seven points and seven assist. Casey Burton finished the night with three points, and Danielle Welch had three points and three rebounds on the night.
