Franklyn Lavon Bailey
The Rev. Franklyn Lavon Bailey, 41, of Selma/Dallas County, died Friday, January 16, 2004, at a local hospital.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 24, at Calvary M.B. Church with the Rev. Charles Lett officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy H. Bailey; mother, Gracie Mae Baity; four sons, Cedric, Caloin, Franklyn Jr. and DeMario; two daughters, Shawntay and Cassandra; five brothers, Joseph Baity, Jeffery Baity, Christopher Baity, Henry Jr. and Anthony; sisters, Johnnie Willis, Annie L. Collins, Henrietta Baity, Catherine Collins, Rosa Washington and Mary Dennis; five grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; six brothers-in-law; seven sisters-in-law.
Goree Fowlkes Jr.
Goree Fowlkes Jr., died Thursday, January 15, 2004.
Services are at 12 noon Wednesday, January 21, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Marion, with the Rev. John Bratcher officiating and Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.
Delila Turner Autrey
Delila Turner Autrey, 93, of Jackson, died Sunday, January 18, 2004, at a healthcare facility.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, at Sunny South Baptist Church with the Rev. James Parnell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include a son, Ben Allen Autrey of Thomasville; brother, Jack Turner of Orrville; sister, Louise Barnes of Monroeville; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers are Raymond Lovelace, Jeremy Walker, Robert Autry, Jack Gaddy, Milton Autry, Frank Finley St., Donnie Floyd
Eric Weaver and Lynn Maness all alt.
Honorary pallbearer is Raymond Autrey.
Mrs. Autrey was a member of Sunny South Baptist Church, a member of the UMW and served as Sunday school teacher.
