Rams get a big road win

Francis Marion 70, Greene County 47

The Francis Marion Rams notched another win Tuesday night, defeating Greene County 70-47.

Leading the way for the Rams was Andrew Lee with 18 points, four rebounds, three steals, and five assist. Kiedrick Bates finished the night with 12 points, four rebounds, two steals, and a blocked shot. Dewayne Woods had 10 points, and Bryant Moore had a strong night picking up seven points, 14 rebounds, three steals, two assists, and a blocked shot.

The Rams will take on Aliceville on Friday night and Bibb County on Saturday night.

Southside 77, Elmore County 65

The Southside Panthers defeated Elmore County 77-65 on Tuesday night.

Nelson Waters led the way for the Panthers, putting up 19 points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and six assist. Jeffery Anderson also had a strong night putting up 15 points.

The Panthers will travel to Montgomery Friday night to take on Trinity.

Meadowview 57, Kingwood 32

The Meadowview Christian Trojans soundly defeated Kingwood Tuesday night 57-32. With the win the Trojans improve their area record to 1-1.

The Trojans were never in trouble, leading the way from the opening tip. The Trojans were ahead 14-7 at the end of the first quarter, and were up 26-12 at the halfway point. At the end of the third, the Trojans led 36-25, and they coasted in the fourth to take home the win 57-32.

Leading the way for the Trojans was John Robert Morton with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Robert Blackmon also had a very strong outing, putting up 10 points, and snagging 23 rebounds. Ryan Stephens finished the night with nine points and six assist.

Junior Varsity Boys

Meadowview 52, Kingwood 35

The Meadowview Christian Junior High Boys Squad was also in action Tuesday night, and they managed to pick up the big win as well, 52-35.

Leading the way for the Trojans was Chris Sewell with 14 points. Dalton Anthony

picked up 12 points on the night, and Matt Boley finished with 10 on the evening.
