Another Christmas has come and gone, but how was the shopping season?
J.C. Penney has been one of the more popular places to shop this season, and the sales figures prove it. According to store manager Mike Briepohl, J.C. Penney had a great year as far as Christmas shopping was concerned.
Briepohl said one reason for the solid sales figures is that besides offering a great selection of clothes, J.C. Penney has an excellent staff of people working for them.
Other area retail stores report that business has been good, if less than spectacular.
McRae’s business reports steady sales throughout the season, if somewhat less than last year’s numbers.
Chris Griffin, general manager at Hibbet’s, agreed with her sentiments.
Another business that had a steady flow of customers throughout the season was Foot Locker. Foot Locker General Manager Mike Cook was happy with the outcome.
Jamie Hays, an employee of Friedman’s Jewelers, believes that everyone has had a steady Christmas.
