Lyons leads Hornets in scoring over last 2 games

The Dallas County Hornets pulled off the big area win Friday night on the road against Holt 68-50. The win improved the hornets record to 2-2, and 2-0 in the area.
Clifford Lyons Jr. led the Hornets with 20 points, and Joe Wilson finished the night with 14. Patrick Jackson led the Hornets on the boards with 13.
Dallas County 75, Trinity 59
The Dallas County Hornets won their third straight game Saturday defeating Trinity 75-59. The Hornets improved their overall record to 3-2 on the year.
Leading the way for the Hornets was Clifford Lyons Jr. with 24 points. Donovan Dixon, Antonio Shelton, and Rafel Miller each finished the night for the Hornets with nine points. The Hornets went 15-24 behind the arc Saturday.
CentralHayneville74, Wilcox Central 70
The Wilcox Central jaguars took on Central Hayneville Friday night at home. The Jaguars jumped out to an early lead, but by the end of the game Central Hayneville had pulled out to the lead, and managed to hold on to it down the stretch to win 74-70.
Leading the way for the Jaguars was Michael Williams with 20 points, and Deveron Johnson finished the night with 18.
Terell Moore led the way for Central Hayneville with 22 points.

Central Christian 37
The MMI tigers managed to hold on and defeat the Central Christian Warriors Friday night 51-37.
Leading the way for the Tigers was Douglas Fitzgerald with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Javoris Smith finished the night for the Tigers with 11 points.
Jamie Parker led the way for the Warriors with 12 points.
Francis Marion 74, Aliceville 49
The Francis Marion Rams defeated Aliceville in their first region game of the year Friday night 74-49.
Leading the way for the Rams was Julius Allgood with 23 points, nine rebounds, two steals, a block, and four assists. Jeremy Arrington had nine points and five steals, and Kiedrick Bates finished up with six points and six rebounds.
Selma High 75, Southside 68
The Selma High Saints improved their record to 8-1, defeating the Southside Panthers 75-68 Friday night.
Jai Miller and Brandon Davis led the Saints with 16 points each. Robert Allen finished the night with 15 points, and Miguel Harris had 12 points on the night.
Cedrick Brown led the Panthers with 21 points, and K. Macmillan had 18 points.
Meadowview 46, Lowndes 37
The Meadowview Christian Trojans defeated the Lowndes Academy Rebels on Saturday night 46-37, in the Wilcox Academy Tournament.
Leading the way for the Trojans was John Robert Morton with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Robert Blackmon finished the night for the Trojans with 10 points and 17 rebounds. Blackmon was also named to the All Tournament Team.
Selma High 67, Southside 54
The Selma High Lady Saints knocked off the Southside Lady Panthers Friday night in a close one 67-54.
The Saints were led on the night by Ashley Greene with 14 points. Kimberly Wilson picked up 15, Santana Say had 10 points, and Tracy Thomas had eight points on the night.
The Lady Saints take on Lanier in their next game Tuesday night.

Central Christian 37
The MMI Lady Tigers defeated the Central Christian Lady Warriors Friday night in Marion 39-37 in a close game.
Felecia Sprott led the Lady Tigers with 22 points, 37 rebounds, and six blocks. Sprott also hit the game winner for the Tigers with three seconds left on the clock. Yolanda Kelly had 13 points on the night for the Lady Tigers.
The Lady Warriors were led by Holly Victor with 13 points.
The MMI Lady Tigers improve their record to 3-4 on the year.
Morgan 52,
Patrician 27
The Morgan Academy Lady Senators picked up the first round win against Patrician Friday night in the Morgan Academy Tournament 52-27.
Leading the way for the Lady Senators was Emily Johnson with 13 points and eight rebounds. Laura Morris had 9 points and three steals for the Lady Senators. Elizabeth Eliott had eight points and 10 rebounds, and Mallory Jones had five points and five rebounds.
Leading the way for patrician was Leslie Goodman with nine points, and Melissa Archibald had 6.
Mobile Christian 46, Morgan 37
The Lady Senators fell to Mobile Christian Saturday afternoon in the final round of the Morgan Academy Tournament 46-37.
Leading the way for the Lady Senators was Laura Morris with 10 points, five steals, and two assists. Emily Johnson had nine points and four rebound for the lady Senators. Hayden Casey picked five points and had seven rebounds, and Mallory Jones had five points and three assists.
Amanda Newman had 12 points for Mobile Christian, and Laura England had 11 points.
The Lady Senators move to 8-1 on the year, and play again next Friday night against Meadowview Christian.

The Selma High B-Team took on the Southside B-Team Tuesday night, and the Saints came out on top improving their record to 7-0 on the year.
Leading the way for the Saints was Robert Childress with 13 points, and John Daily with 11.
