Pearlie Mae Johnson

Pearlie Mae Johnson, of Tyler, died Friday, December 5, 2003, at a local hospital.

Graveside services are at 12 noon Thursday, December 11, at Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include very devoted niece, Pearlie (Sonny) Burden of Selma; one brother, Frank Gosby of Selma; two sisters, Julia Green of Selma and Willie Nell Williams of Birmingham; three nephews; seven nieces.

Mary Elizabeth Twilley Flowers

Mary Elizabeth Twilley Flowers, 60, of Moore’s Valley, died Sunday, December 7, 2003, at her home.

Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, at the Chapel of O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. David Boyd and Chaplain Taylor Morgan officiating. Burial followed in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, W.F. Freddie Flowers of Moore’s Valley; daughter-in-law, Belinda Flowers (Jeff) Edwards; brothers, Richard (Carolyn) Twilley of Mobile and Melvin (Margaret) Twilley of Greensboro, N.C.; sisters, Peggy (Kenneth) Davis of Lompoc, Calif., Geraldine (Terry) Morgan of Thomasville and Betty Lou (Buddy) Williams of Theodore; grandsons, William Eric (Beth) Flowers, Dennis Cameron and Robert Fredrick Flowers all of Selma; one great-grandson, Austin Smyly.

Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her son, William Dennis Flowers; two brothers, Leo and Maurice Twilley and one sister, Annie Merle Williams.

Sim McCasson Jr.

Sim McCasson Jr., 90, of Gallion, died Friday, December 5, 2003, at his home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, at Gilfield M. B. Church, Gallion, with the Rev. Moses C. Jones Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.

The body will lie in state at the church on Wednesday beginning at 12 noon.

Thomas Roberson Sr.

Thomas Roberson Sr., 73, of Demopolis, died Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at a hospital in Meridian, Miss.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, at St. Paul Baptist Church in Demopolis, with the Rev. Charlie Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion No. 2 Cemetery, Demopolis with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.

The body will lie in state at the church on Wednesday, beginning at 12 noon.
