Robert Lee Walker Jr.
Robert Lee Walker Jr., of Beloit, died Friday, October 31, 2003.
Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, at Mt. Calvary AME Church with Elder James Beal officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Callie Edwards Walker; four daughters, Velda Lynn (Keith) Johnson of Fairfield, Ivy L. (Alton) Davis of Birmingham, Donna L. Walker of Midfield and Ashley L. Walker of Beloit; four sisters, Dorothy Mae (Alton) Motley of Autagaville, Dorothy Morris, Annie (Wallace) Christian all of Los Angeles, Calif., Clarice Walker of Pamona, Calif.; four brothers: Oscar (Josie) Walker of Tulare, Calif., James (Tina) Walker of Compton, Calif., Leslie (Miltonetta) Walker of Lodi, Calif., and Alonzo (Jackie) of Birmingham; four aunts, Cora Davis, Gertrude (Earl) Barge, Ruby (Johnny) Bates and Mattie Mae Edwards; five grandchildren, Keith Nelson Johnson II, Robert Jalyn Johnson, Kaysee Raquel Johnson, Kayla Lynn Davis, Corbin Marquez Davis and special family friend, Micah Hale; 14 sisters-in-law; Vera Beal, Ruby Peeples, Gloria Edwards, Mary Edwards Candi Edwards, Carrie Edwards, Carol Edwards, Joatni Edwards, Louise Edwards, Jackie Walker, Tina Walker, Miltonetta Walker, Josie Walker and Jackie Walker Maxey; 11 bother-in -laws; Jessie Edwards, James Beal, Freddie Edwards, Omega Edwards, Thomas Edwards Jr., Lovell Edwards Sr., John Edwards, Wallace Christian, Clinton Peeples Sr., Calvin Edwards Sr., Alton Brondnax; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his co-workers at International Paper company.
Mr. Walker, was born on October 29, 1943 in Beloit, to the late Robert Lee Walker Sr. and Clara Curry Walker. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mount Calvary A.M.E. Church. He was united in Holy matrimony to Callie Mae Edwards on August 23, 1964, to this union four daughters were born. They joined Mount Zion P.B. Church in Selma, where he served on the Deacon board for over 20 years. After many years he returned to Mount Calvary A.M.E. where he served until his departure from this life on October 31, 2003
He labored joyously at International Paper Company for over 29 years, where he received numerous awards and achievements.
Theoduse Williams
Theoduse Williams, 61, of Forkland, died Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at his home.
Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church in Forkland, with the Rev. Calvin Finch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home directing.
Robert G. England
Robert G. &uot;Bill&uot; England, 76, of Heiberger, died Sunday, November 2, 2003, at his home.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, at Siloam Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Perry and the Rev. Matthew Pless officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery with Kirk Funeral Homes of Marion Chapel directing.
Survivors include his wife, Emily Bamberg England of Hieberger; one son, Bob England of Marion; four daughters, Diane Carroll of Gulf Shores, Cindy Horne of Sweetwater, Tenn., Sharon Owen of Pinson and Flora Ann Morris of Gulf Shores; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers are Morris Carroll, John Horne, Monte Owen, Jim Morris, Chris Grindle, Will Grindle, Devin Prince and Johnny Horne.
Aline Mosley Egbert
Aline Mosley Egbet, 89 of Selma, died Sunday, November 3, 2003, at a local hospital.
Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, at the Thomaston Cemetery with the Rev. Travis Barnes officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include sons, Clayton J. (Mary) Egbert of Selma and Clarence W. (Jessie) Egbert of York; daughters, Clariece E. Perdue and Ruth E. Jones both of Selma; sister, Oneida Flowers of Thomaston; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers are grandsons, Mark Thomas, John Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Bruce Perdue, Mitchell Perdue, Billy Perdue, James Badger, Scott Egbert, Jason Egbert, Tony Egbert, Chris Egbert and Greg Egbert.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest be made to one’s favorite charity.
