Warriors pick up first Region Championship

Despite all odds the Central Christian Warriors have proved everyone wrong, and had the season that they have worked for since the end of last year. Central Christian picked up their first Region Championship in school history last week in their defeat of Shelby.
After going 5-5 the year before with a heavily laden senior team, what the Warriors have been able to accomplish this year has been amazing.
When the season began not many people gave the Warriors much of a fighting chance, and no one expected them to be where they are at.
It has been tough on Central Christian for most of the year.
The school and all the community have responded well to Warrior football this year. The students have been 100 percent behind their ball club, and they, along with parents,
have traveled to all of the ball games.
Despite having an 8-1 record and winning the Region Championship, the Warriors feel that they have yet to reach their full potential.
With the play-offs only two weeks away it doesn’t leave much time to reflect on the Region Championship. &uot;It feels real good to win the Region,&uot; said C.A. Poe &uot;It was such a close game it made it a lot more stressful than wanted, but it was a big plus for the school and team.&uot;
The Warriors have their
Homecoming Game tonight at Memorial Stadium against Lowndes Academy at 7:30
