Martha Corley Jowers
Martha Jowers, 79, of Gallion, AL, died Saturday, October 26, 2002 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital.
Services will be held Monday, Oct. 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Kidd-Robbins Chapel with Rev. Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Aimwell Cemetery in Sweetwater, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Gray Jowers. She is survived by one daughter, Frances (R.C.) Johnson of Selma; one sister, Doris Standard of Linden, AL; a devoted nephew and wife Johnny and Linda Jowers of Demopolis and a number of nieces and nephews from New York, California, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi; one grandson, R.C. (Shanna) Johnson, Jr. and two great great-grandchildren, Chelsea Johnson and R.C. Johnson III (Tripp) both of Selma.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Monday, before the funeral service. The body will lie instate one hour before service.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Eastern Star and
of her sunday school class at Rangeline Baptist Church.
Bronell Godwin Harris
Bronell Godwin Harris, 76, of Selma, died Saturday, Ocotber 26, 2002 at her home.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, october 28 in the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Norman Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her husband Felix Coy Harris of Selma; one son, Richard Coy Harris of Crestview, FL; one daughter, Linda Harris Denton of Hope Hull; one brother Rufus Daniel Godwin of Selma; one sister, Fannie Dell Godwin Williams of Calera, AL and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Active pallbearers include, Blake Willis, Ellis McIntyre, Trey McIntyre, Austin Bradford, Tommy Beach and Ellis McIntyre, Jr.
The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
