Arthur Lee Washington
Arthur Lee Washington, 47, of Dallas County, died Thursday, October 16, 2003, at a local hospital.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at Zion M.P. Church with the Rev. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his parents, Johnny and Clara Washington Sr.; two brothers, Johnny Washington Jr. of Selma and George Washington of Tampa Fla.; one sister, Sally Washington of Selma.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Washington, Willie Washington and Leroy Washington.
Active pallbearers are friends.

Mr. Washington was born on Nov. 21, 1955 in Dallas County. He confessed to Christ at an early age and join the Zion #1 M.P. Church, where he served faithful until his death.
Dora Evelyn Bagby
Dora Evelyn Bagby, 85, of Elberta, died Sunday, October 19, 2003, at a local nursing home.
Services are at 10 a.m., Friday, October 24, at the Chapel of Bayview Funeral Home with Graveside services at 3 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Selma with Bayview Funeral Home of Foley directing.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl (Russell) Reeves of Foley and Kathy Bagby of Lillian; two sons, Charles David (Judy) Bagby Jr. of Selma and Jonathan (Barbara) Bagby of O’Fallon, Ill; sister, Josephine Busch of Bell, Fla.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Bayview Funeral Home in Foley.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Mrs. Bagby, was an active member in the First Presbyterian Church of Gulf Shores.
Safronia Rascoe
Safronia Rascoe, 97, of Selma, died Wednesday, October 15, 2003, at a local hospital. Services were at 12 noon Tuesday, October 21, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church with Father Carroll Plourde officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include one son, Robert Harris; one daughter, Leila McDole; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren;; and one great-great-great-grandchild.
Ola Mae Oliver
Ola Mae Oliver, 88, of Dallas County, died Sunday, October 19, 2003, at a local hospital.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at Isabella Baptist Church with the Rev. Kelvin Cockrell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include two sons, Saul Oliver and William Oliver Jr.; two daughters, Maggie (Johnny) Hall and Jacqueline Oliver; four brothers, Jermiah Dawson, Roosevelt (Bonnie G.) Dawson, John (Johnnie Mae) Dawson and Arthur (Emma) Dawson; one sister, Annie Lee (Daniel) Smiley; 15 grandchildren; eight grandchildren; one son-in-law; one brother-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers are nephews.
Jeffery Mark Howell
Jeffery Mark Howell, 43, of Elba, formerly of Selma, died Tuesday, October 21, 2003.
Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 23, at New Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Jacobs officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Howell of Selma; brothers, Ronnie (Faye) Howell of Robertsdale, Dennis Howell, Phillip (Lesia) Howell and Gary (Tenesa) Howell all of Selma.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, at Lawrence Funeral Home.
