Looking for something different to do in Selma? Try attending the first Live Maine Lobster-Fest hosted by the Episcopal Church Woman and Little’s Friends School at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
The fest will take place at the church, which is on 210 Lauderdale St., on Oct. 24 with sittings at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Babysitting is available at the 6 p.m. sitting for $3. All tickets must be purchased by Oct. 14.
The proceeds from the fest will go towards the Little Friends school and the women’s group. Episcopal Church Women give to eight local charities and two statewide ones including United Way, the Red Cross and Mother Read/Father Read.
Tickets can be purchased from one of the parents of the Little Friends or at the church office.
Bunny Gamble, a member of the ECW, said there used to be a bazaar that was held at the church.
But, the bazaar is no more, and the lobster fest is taking its place.
The group is hoping to sell at least 500 tickets to the meal, which people can either come in and sit down to eat or carry it out with them.
