Eddie Lee Lillie

Eddie Lee Lillie, 63, of Dallas County, died Saturday, July 5, 2003, at a local hospital.

Services are at 12 noon, Thursday, July 10, at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include wife, Earline Abrams; mother, Rosemary Jones and step-father, Robert Jones; one brother Ronald Lillie of Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Ola Betty Dunnigan of Chicago, Ill.; a special grandson, Jabari Pair who affectionately calls &uot;Shawn&uot;; four aunts; one uncle; and a host of other relatives and friends.

William David Nichols

William David Nichols, 55, of Selma, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at a Birmingham hospital.

Services are at10 a.m., Thursday, July 10, at Ocmulgee Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Taylor and the Rev. Scott Watson officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracy Michelle (Buffy) Nichols and Ashley Nichols; son, John David Nichols; stepdaughter, Kacie Langley; stepson, Lucas Lott; sister, Sharon Nichols Hopkins; and brothers, Steve Nichols and Shelton Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his parent, Lonnie D. Nichols and Pauline M. Nichols, and brothers, Bobby Nichols and Paul Edward Nichols.

Active pallbearers are Don Nichols, David Daniels, Dannie Jones, Buck Newsome, Ronnie Hollingshead, John Jones, Allen Fancher, Howell Stone and Harold Ragland.

Family visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Addie Lucille Scandrick

Addie Lucille Scandrick, 75, of Dallas County, died Saturday, July 5, 2003, at a local hospital.

Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Chapel of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. F.D. Reese officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include parents, Cornelias and Viola Johnson; four nephews; five nieces; special great niece, Kerstan Irvin.

Active pallbearers are James Ellis Sr., Tyrone Ellis, Michael Johnson, Silas Burrell, Kelvin Burrell, Dwight Johnson and Douglas Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Oscar Johnson, Joseph McLynn and Joe Martinear.

John Henry Holley

John Henry Holley, 49, of Acworth, Ga., died Friday, July 4, 2003.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Ga., with the Rev. Scott Miller and

the Rev. Don McLaughlin officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Terri M. Holley of Acworth, Ga.; son, Sean Mical Holley of Acworth, Ga.; two daughters, Andrea Ray Holley and Lauren Michelle Holley both of Acworth; mother, Emma Gail Massey of Selma; brother, Don Holley of Brenham, Texas; Shirley Gail Sova of Selma; and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Summit Baptist Church @ 4310 Moon Station Lane in Acworth, Ga., or to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Holley was a native of Selma, moving to Acworth, Ga., 11

years ago from Ft. Worth, Texas. He was a master woodworker and enjoyed gardening, and was a member of Summit Baptist Church in Acworth, Ga.

Polly Inez Tubbs

Polly Inez Tubbs, 68, of Uniontown, died Monday, July 7, 2003 at a Tuscaloosa healthcare facility.

Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at the Chapel of Kirk Funeral Homes of Marion with the Rev. Virgil Pino and the Rev. Pete Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery with Kirk Funeral Homes of Marion directing.

Survivors include one brother, Darrel F. Tubbs of Uniontown; nephews, William H. Nichols of Mobile, Jimmy W. Nichols of Tuscaloosa, Marvin Tubbs of Birmingham, Joe Tubbs of Tuscaloosa, Nelson Tubbs of Birmingham, Dennis Rinehart of Marion and Kim Rinehart of Marion; nieces, Lillie Nichols Cole of Tuscaloosa, Carol Tubbs Geer of Cottondale and Sue T. Shelton of Tuscaloosa.

Active pallbearers are Marvin Tubbs, Nelson Tubbs, Stephens Shelton, Dennis Rinehart, Kim Rinehart and Stanley Cole.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at the funeral home.

Susie O. Markus

Susie O. Markus, 86, of Vredenburgh, died Monday, July 7, 2003.

Graveside services are at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 12, at Hybart Cemetery with Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Walker Markus of Vredenburth; two sons, Walter Dale Markus and Terry Lee Markus both of Northeast Md.; two grandchildren, Lisa Schneiders and Sherry Fortune; four great-grandchildren, Luke Fortune, Ryan Schneiders, Cory Schneiders and Brooke Schneiders; sisters, Wiladee Glatti and Dorothy Louise McCants; brothers, Edward Parnell and Robert Parnell.

Family visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Friday, at Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home.
