“We just want to invite everyone to come out and have a good time and help us support our mission,” said SABRA executive director Nancy Travis.

SABRA Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization that has a mission to end domestic violence and to assist domestic violence victims and their families.

The auction and dinner will be held at the George P. Evans Reception Hall, located at 2 Lawrence Street, beginning with a social hour and silent auction at 6 p.m.

Travis said the social hour will allow people a chance to participate in the silent auction and purchase raffle tickets before dinner. A live auction and raffle will follow later in the evening. This year’s theme is “Blue Jean and Bling.”

“We haven’t had a theme in a while,” Travis said. “We wanted to make it casual.”

Dinner, which will be catered by KFC, will be served at 7 p.m. The auction and raffle will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Travis said the nonprofit has a large variety of items to auction and raffle off, which includes a six night fishing trip in Canada, seven night trip to Cabin Murphy in North Carolina, beach vacations, hunting trips, a Yeti cooler, paintings by local artists and more.

“We try to do something for everybody,” Travis said. “You can at least buy a raffle ticket if you don’t buy an auction item.”

She said raffles will vary in price according to the value of what’s being raffled off, starting at $1. Tickets for the event can be purchased for $30 per individual or $200 for a table of eight. For information about purchasing tickets, contact Travis at (334) 877-4645.
