Marion Elizabeth McCrory Wood, age 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 24, 2015.

Elizabeth was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church serving in several areas.

She retired from Alabama Power Company after 40 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Scott McCrory Sr. and Vicie Hughes McCrory; brother, Edward Scott McCrory Jr.; and nephew, Keith Chapman.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Charles Wilbert Wood Sr.; her children, Charles Wilbert (Teri) Wood Jr. of Birmingham and Elizabeth Dianne (Casey) Capps of Pike Road; sister, Sue (Jolly) Chapman of Central, S.C.; brother, James (Geneva) McCrory; sister-in-law, Norma McCrory of Valley Grande; step-grandson, Justin (Angela) Anthony; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to recognize her faithful caregivers Felicia Hodges and Gracie Riddle for their extraordinary care.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating. Interment will be at New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation with be prior to the service from 10-11 a.m.

Family and friends will be pallbearers.
