On Feb. 22, 1926, the heavens smiled as one of God’s gifts, Alice Marion Gunvaldsen, was born.

On April 14, 2015, the angels rejoiced as she joined them as one of their own in God’s kingdom.

Alice was married to William (Bill) Van Sickler, who preceded her in death.

This marriage was blessed with four children who survive her: Bill (Nell), Steve, Mike and Elizabeth Frost.

She also leaves to cherish her memory nine loving grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

All who knew Alice will remember her love of traveling with her husband Bill in their motor home, knitting, painting, laughing and lavishing endless love on her family.

Alice was a long time resident of Selma but had resided in Colorado Springs prior to her death.

The family will hold a private “celebration of life” in honor of their beloved mother.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Alice’s name may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
