Martha Elizabeth Courtney Nalley, age 77, of Selma, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014.

She is survived by daughters: Wanda (Gerald) Salter, Rhonda (Thomas) Godwin; grandsons: Jeremy (Colleen) Salter, Jay (Celia) Williams; grandchildren: Trey salter, Trent Salter, Alanna Salter, Hannah Williams, Timothy Jay Williams III, Timothy Michael Williams; brothers: Rex, Wayne; and sisters: Mary, Betty, and Helen.

Mrs. Nalley is preceded by her husband: James D. Nalley Sr.; son: James D. Nalley, Jr. parents: Comer and Rosie Lee Courtney; sister: Linda; and brother: J.P.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and cousin. She loved her family with all her heart. When you saw her, you saw her girls right there with her. She lived for her girls, they were her heart. Her grandsons and great grandchildren were her heart and joy. She enjoyed fishing and hunting. Toward the end of time, the family received many angels among us that were there with the family whether you were family, friend, nurses, or just someone who stopped by to pray or say hello. We appreciate everything, so thank you from our family. We know that she is singing with Jesus.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Rod Rochester officiating. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Jeremy salter, Trey salter, Trent Salter, Jay Williams, Tim Williams, and Timothy Michael Williams. Honorary will be Don Nalley, Gerald Salter and Thomas Godwin.
