Ms. Lola M. Simmons, 66, resident of Selma, passed away July 23, 2014 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services will be held August 2, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at John the Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Curtis Williams. Burial will follow in church cemetery directed by Randall Miller Funeral Home.

She is preceded in death by parents, Lula and Will Simmons.

Survivors include four sons, Jimmie (Denetra) Simmons of Selma, Willie Simmons of Selma, Curtis Simmons of Selma, and Jeffery Simmons on New York City; daughter, Mary Guthridge of Selma; sister, Jettie Cox of New York city; fifteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew. Other relative, Christine Walter ; Barber Eaton, very special friend; aunts, Beatrice Green of Arlington, AL; brother-in-law, Annias Bell of Birmingham, AL.
