Mr. Furnana Shanks, 40, resident of Selma, passed away June 24, 2014 in Selma. Services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at New Macedonia Baptist church, Summerfield officiated by Pastor Jonathan Shanks. Burial will follow in Summerfield Community Cemetery directed  by Randall Miller Funeral Home.

Survivors include spouse, Sequita Gullet Shanks; parents, Paul and Dorothy Richardson; son, Fernando Shanks, Jr.; two brothers, Martel Richardson and Michael Richardson; five sisters, Telisha (Kurt) Wilson, Paulnike (James) Nettles, Lofloso (Quenton) Marshall, Crystal Richardson, and Jessica Sharp; grandmother., Leola Shanks.
